MANILA, the Philippines – The result of November 2018 Chemical Engineers (ChemEng) Board Exam also known as Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination is expected to be released online. Once it becomes available, the full list of passers, top 10 (top notchers), top performing and performance of schools is posted here.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) together with the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemical Engineering conducted the Chemical Engineers examination on November 24 (Friday), 25 (Sunday) and 26 (Monday), 2018 in PRC testing area of Manila and Cebu.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 737 out of 1,043  passed the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this November 2018.

RESULT SUMMARY


DATE OF RELEASE

Based on the PRC Resolution No. 2017-1068 Series of 2017, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for the Year 2018”, the target release date for the result of November 2018 Chemical Engineers Board Exam will be on November 28, 2018. However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The three (3) days chemical engineer examination covered the following topics:

  • Physical and Chemical Principles (General Inorganic Chemistry; Organic Chemistry; Analytical Chemistry; Biochemical Engineering. and Environmental Engineering.)
  • Chemical Engineering Principles (Chemical Engineering Calculations, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics; Reaction Kinetics, Unit Operations; Chemical Process Industries, Plant design; and Instrumentation and Process Control).
  • General Engineering, Ethics, and Contracts (Mathematics, Physics; Engineering Mechanics; Strength of Materials; Engineering Economics; and laws; Contracts and Ethics).

PREVIOUS EXAM RESULTS

May 2018
A total of  296 out of 636 passed the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu. See the full list of passers

November 2017
PRC stated that 627 out of 942 passed the ChemEng Examination last November 2017 given in Manila & Cebu testing area. See the full list of passers

Graduates of University of Saint La Salle and UP – Visayas – Iloilo City got the highest score in the said examination with the garnered score of 84.60. See the list of top 10 passers

The members of the Board of Chemical Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong, Chairman; Engr. Jeffrey G. Mijares and Engr. Cyd P. Aguilera, Members.

May 2017

With a total of 310 out of 561 passed the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this May 2017. See the complete list of passers

University of San Carlos (USC) alum led the said examination, He is Wayne Lorenz Bagano Tandingan, scored 85.20%. See the full list of top passers

November 2016

Last November of 2016, a total of 534 out of 918 passed the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu. The result was released two (2) working days after the last day of examination.

PRC declared the University of the Philippines (UP-Diliman)  as top performing schools in the said examination results with a passing rate of 95.71 percent. Followed by UP-Los Baños with 90.20 percent.

A graduate of De La Salle University (DLSU-Manila), who successfully got the highest placed in the chemical engineers’ examination. He is Clarence Joseph Uy Co with a score of 85.50%. See the full list of top passers
