Manila, Philippines – The result for November 2017 Civil Engineer (CE) Board Exam also known as Civil Engineer Licensure Examination is expected to be released online. Once it becomes available, the full list of passers, top 10 (top notchers), top performing and performance of schools is posted here.

Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) together with the Professional Regulatory Board of Civil Engineering administered the civil engineers examination on November 11 & 12, 2017 in the following testing centers located in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 6,075 out of 12,447 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga this November 2017.
The results were released in four (4) working days after the last day of examination.
The members of the Board of Civil Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo, Chairman; Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero, Members.

RESULT SUMMARY


 DATE OF RELEASE

Based on the PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019 Series of 2016, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for the Year 2017”, the target release date for the result of November 2017 Civil Engineer Board Exam will be set on November  16, 2017 (Thursday). However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.
Due to the suspension of government work in Metro Manila, because of ASEAN Summit from November 13-15, 2017. The result is expected to be released from November 16 to 20, 2017, two (2) to four (4) working days from the last day of examination.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The two (2) days civil engineer examination covered the following topics:

  • Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering (Algebra, Plane and Spherical Trigonometry, Analytics, Descriptive and Solid Geometry, Differential and Integral Calculus, Highway and Railroad surveying, Plane Topographic and Hydro-graphic Surveying, Advanced Surveying, Design and Construction of Highways and Railroads, Piers, Ports, and Wharves.)

  • Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (Fluid Properties; Hydro-static Pressures; Fluid Flow; Buoyancy and Flotation, Relative equilibrium of Liquids; Hydrodynamics; Water Supply; Soil Properties, Soils Classification, Fluid Flow through Soil Mass, Stresses in Soil Mass, Soil Strength, and Tests, Bearing Capacity; Compaction, Consolidation, and Settlement; Lateral Earth Pressures; Slope Stability)

  • Structural Engineering and Construction (Engineering Mechanics; Strength of Materials; Theory of Structures; Analysis and Design of Concrete; Steel; Timber Structures and Foundation with the application of the governing Code of Practice)

With a total of 2,514 out of 6,998 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. Full list of passers

November 2016

The November 2016 examination, a total of 5,036 out of 10,972 successful examinees passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examination. University of the Philippines (UP-Diliman) declared as top performing school having 98 out of 102 board exam takers passed or 96.08% overall passing rate. Other five (5) schools are on the list as top performing schools for civil engineers board exam last November 2016. See the full list of top performing schools

Sirven Carandang Garibay, a pride alum of UP – Los Baños led the passers in the said board exam with garnering the score of 93.20 percent. He was followed by Samuel Eliezer Yu Uy, who got the second placed with 92.75% and Selina Dianne King Bernardo in rank 3 with 92.65% rating. Both of them are alums of University of San Carlos (USC).
