September 2017 Librarian Board Exam results

Manila, Philippines – The ‘September 2017 Librarian Licensure Examination Result’ also known as ‘Librarian Board Exam’ is expected to be released online. Once it becomes available, the full list of passers, top 10 (top notchers), top performing and performance of schools is posted here.

PRC together with the Professional Regulatory Board of Librarians conducted the Librarian Board Exam last September 19 (Tuesday) and 20 (Wednesday), 2017 in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban and Tuguegarao testing centers.

Update 09/25/2017

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 545 out of 904 passed the Librarian Licensure Examination given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao this September 2017.

The members of the Board for Librarians who gave the licensure examination are Yolanda C. Granda, Chairman and Lourdes T. David, Member.

The results were released in two (2) working days after the last day of examination.


RESULT SUMMARY


PASSING RATE

To be a registered librarian, the exam taker must have obtained an average of at least seventy-five percent (75%) in all subjects, with no rating below fifty percent (50%) in any subject.


DATE OF RELEASE

Based on PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019 Series of 2016, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for the Year 2017”, the target release date for the result of September 2017 Librarians Board Exam will be on September 25, 2017. However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

PREVIOUS RESULT

A total of 738 out of 1,140 examinees passed the Librarian Licensure Examination given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi this September 2016.  The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examination. A graduate of University of Santo Tomas (UST), Karl Emmanuel Villanueva Ruiz got the highest score in the said examination with a score of 89.90%. Followed by Holy Cross of Davao College and Baliuag University. See the list of top 10 passers

PRC also declared the University of the Philippines (UP-Diliman) as top performing schools with 100% passing rate. See the full list of top performing and performance of schools.
