The result for August 2017 Physical and Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination also known as PT and OT Board Exam is expected to be released online. Once it becomes available, the full list of passers, top 10 (top notchers), top performing and performance of schools is posted here.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) together with the Professional Regulatory Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy administered the aforementioned examination last August 5 & 6, 2017 in selected schools located in Manila, Baguio, and Cebu.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 802 out of 1,277 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 215 out of 295 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this August 2017.

The results were released in two (2) working days from the last day of examinations.

RESULTS SUMMARY

DATE OF RELEASE

Based on the PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019 Series of 2016, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2017”, the target release date for the result of August 2017 Physical and Occupational Therapists Board Exam will be on February 8, 2017 (Wednesday). However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The two (2) days examination for PT covered the following topics: Basic sciences (30%); Medical and surgical conditions, Pathology (25%); Physical therapy applications, Electrotherapy, Therapeutics exercises, Principles of rehabilitation & hydrotherapy(45%).

While for OT covered the following topics: Basic sciences (20%); General medical and surgical conditions, (20%); Occupational therapy applications, Programs, Organization and Psychosocial Dysfunction, Physical Disabilities(60%).

PREVIOUS EXAMS

February 2017

Last examination, a total of 512 out of 856 examinees passed the Physical Therapist Board Exam and 128 out of 185 passed the Occupational Therapist Board Exam given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila and Cebu. See the full list of passers 

Stephen Blaise Ilao Hernando, graduate of University of Perpetual Help System (UPHS- Laguna), led the passers in the Physical Therapist Board Exam with 88.70% garnered score. See complete list of PT top passers

While for Occupational Therapists result, Christine Joy Mirasol Delos Reyes of University of the Philippines (UP-Manila), top the examination with score of 81.60%. See full list of OT top passers 

PRC declared UP-Manila as top performing schools for PT exam with 100% passing rate. And, Angeles University Foundation (AUF) as top performing schools for OT exam, also with 100% passing rate.

August 2016

With a total of 846 out of 1,243 examinees passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 114 out of 229 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination. It was held in Manila and Cebu August 2016.

James Michael Manansal Hernandez, a pride alum of Angeles University Foundation topped the PT board exam with garnering 90.25% rating. While, grad from Velez College, Marjorie Ceniza Arpon led the passers for OT board exam with 82.00% score.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) declared as top performing school for PT, having 79 out of 82 board exam takers passed or 96.34%. For OT, Cebu Doctor’s University with 21 examinees and 19 has passed, passing percentage of 90.48%
