The March 2017 Pharmacist Licensure Examination also known as Pharmacists Board Exam is expected to release online. Once it become available, the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing and performance of schools will posted here.

PRC together with Professional Regulatory Board of Pharmacy administered the Pharmacist Licensure Examination in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo on March 9 (Thursday) and 10 (Friday), 2017.

March 2017 Pharmacists Board Exam Result

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,426 out of 3,732 passed the Pharmacist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Pharmacy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo this March 2017.

The Board of Pharmacy is composed of Ms. Adelina C. Royo, Chairman; Dr. Mildred B. Oliveros and Mr. Anthony Aldrin C. Santiago, Members.

The results were released in two (2) working days after the last day of examination.

DATE OF RELEASE

Based on PRC Resolution No. 2016-1019 Series of 2016, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2017”, the target release date for the result of March 2017 Pharmacist Board Exam will be on March 15, 2017 (Wednesday). However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The two (2) days examination, covered the following topics: Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Inorganic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry; Organic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry; Qualitative Pharmaceutical Chemistry) – 20%. Pharmacology (Plant Chemistry; Biochemistry) – 15%. Practice Pharmacy (Compounding-Dispensing; Clinical/Hospital Pharmacy; Pharmaceutical Calculations) – 17.5%. Pharmacology-Pharmacokinetics (Toxicology; Incompatibilities and Adverse Drug Reactions) -15%. Pharmaceutics (Manufacturing Pharmacy; Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms; Physical Pharmacy; Jurisprudence & Ethics) – 17.5%. And, Quality Assurance / Quality Control (Drug Testing with Instrumentation, Microbiology and Public Health) – 15%.

PREVIOUS EXAM

  • June 2016 Result

    A total of 1,406 out of 2,784 examinees passed the pharmacists board exam. It was held in cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

    San Pedro College – Davao City declared as the top performing school with a total number of 118 examinees, 104  are passed and with overall passing rate 88.14%.

    John Byran Guadalupe Ruba is pride of University of the Immaculate Conception – Davao, who got the highest placed for pharmacist board exam with garnering 92.85% rating. She was followed by Jennilyn Daza Yambao from Our Lady of Fatima University – Valenzuela with rating score of 92.80%. While in the third placed is Mark Miguel Pimentel Latras of San Pedro College- Davao City, with 92.65% score.

  • January 2016 Result

    PRC stated that 1,487 out of 2,710 examinees passed the exam, given by Board of Pharmacy in cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo. The results was released in two (2) working days after the last day of examination.

    The following are declared by PRC as the top performing schools together their percentage of passed, namely: Saint Louis University (SLU) (98.24%); Mariano Marcos State University-Batac (86.84%); Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) – QC (84.62%); San Pedro College (SPC) – Davao City (82.76%); and University of Santo Tomas (UST) (81.43%).

    Five grads of University of the Philippines – Manila dominates the pharmacist board exam, among others are from SLU, University of San Agustin, SPC – Davao City, UST and OLFU – Valenzuela.
