Exam Result October 2016 Criminologists Board Exam

The October 2016 Criminologists Licensure Examination also known as Criminology Board Exam is expected to be released online. Once it becomes available, the full list of passers, top 10 (top notchers), top performing and performance of schools is posted here.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) together with the Board of Criminology administered the aforementioned examination last October 28, 29 & 30, 2016 for thirty-four thousand seven hundred sixty-eight (34,768) examinees in the selected testing centers al over the country:  Manila, Baguio, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The results were released in twenty-five (25) working days from the last day of examination.

The members of the Board of Criminology who gave the licensure examination are Hon. Ramil G. Gabao, Chairman; Hon. George O. Fernandez and Hon. Ruben A. Sta. Teresa, Members.


Based on the PRC Resolution No. 2015-953  Series of 2015, entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for the Year 2016”, the target release date for the result of October 2016 Criminologists Board Exam will be on December 8, 2016 (Wednesday). However, the result may be released earlier or later without prior notice.


The three (3) days Criminologists examination covered the following topics: 1. Criminal Jurisprudence, Procedure, and Evidence – 20%; 2. Law Enforcement Administration – 20%; 3. Crime Detection and Investigation  – 20%; 4. Criminalistics – 15%;  5. Correctional Administration – 10%; 6. Sociology of Crimes and Ethics – 15%.


With a total of 3,928 out of 16,435 examinees passed the criminologist’s board exam. It was held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last April 2016.

University of the Cordilleras was the top performing school having 105 out of 107 board exam takers passed or 98.13% overall passing rate.

Jared John Francisco Adolfo, a pride alum of the University of Mindanao – Tagum topped the criminologist board exam with garnering 88.15% rating. He was followed by Harold Tubongbanua Sarita from De La Salle University – Dasmariñas with 88.00% and Jonathan Apolog Langbayan from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College – Bontoc, 87.90%.
