Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) administered the LET exams last September 25, 2016 in the following testing centers nationwide: Manila, Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Batanes, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Northern Samar; Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Marinduque, Masbate, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Rosales, Pangasinan; Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga testing center.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announces that 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last September 25, 2016 in Hong Kong and 25 testing centers all over the Philippines. It is further announced that of the 23,378 elementary teacher passers, 21,896 are first timers and 1,482 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 28,957 passers are first timers and 2,377 are repeaters.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

The results of examination with respect to four (4) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

Registration of Passers:

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on December 5 to 23, 2016.

The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:

  1. Notice of Admission;
  2. duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
  3. two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  4. two sets of documentary stamps.

Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

You may also register at the PRC Service Centers in Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria and in Clark Skills Training Center (formerly Polytechnic College, Clark, Pampanga).

The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

Based on Commission’s Resolution No. 2015-948 series of 2015 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2016”, the target release date for the results in the September 2016 LET / Teachers board exam will be on November 29, 2016 (Tuesday). However, results may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

Normally, LET result were released around thirty-nine (39) to fifty (60) working days from the last day of examination.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE & PASSING PERCENTAGE:

  • Elementary Level

The September 2016 Licensure Examination Teachers (LET) for Elementary Level are consists of two (2) parts: General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%).

  • Secondary Level

Three (3) parts for Secondary: General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of GE (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subjects), PE (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.

Examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the subjects to pass the September 2016 LET Board Exam.

PREVIOUS LET RESULTS:

Last March 2016, The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) was announced that 12,128 elementary teachers out of 42,739 examinees (28.38%) and 18,810 secondary teachers out of 53,090 examinees (35.43%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last March 20, 2016 in twenty testing centers all over the Philippines. PRC also stated that in total of 12,128 elementary teacher passers, 3,906 are first timers and 8,222 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 10,747 passers are first timers and 8,063 are repeaters.

With respect to twenty-three (23) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

Education graduate of University of Mindanao – Davao City led the passers in the Elementary Level, she is Rowena Miano Hingpit with rated score of 90.60-percent. While Robelynn Sarsoza De Ocampo got 90.20-percent as rank two (2) and Ma Arizza Rivera Ferreas with garnered score of 90.00-percent got the third position. Pride of Lorma College, Michael Prince Notorio Del Rosario got the highest placed in the Secondary Level, with garnered score of 92.00-percent. Followed by Methylene Jezza Daño Berida of Leyte Normal University got 91.20-percent while Eric Largo Fernandez grad of Holy Cross of Davao College got the third (3rd) placed with rated score of 91.00-percent. See the full list of top passers for secondary level

PRC declared University of the Philippines – Diliman as top performing schools in Secondary level with passing percentage of 93.44-percent (%) and for Elementary level none are qualified.
