CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PASSERS!!!
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announces that 12,128 elementary teachers out of 42,739 examinees (28.38%) and 18,810 secondary teachers out of 53,090 examinees (35.43%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last March 20, 2016 in twenty testing centers all over the Philippines. It is further announced that of the 12,128 elementary teacher passers, 3,906 are first timers and 8,222 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 10,747 passers are first timers and 8,063 are repeaters.
The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
The results of examination with respect to twenty-three (23) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.
The said LET examinations was given by the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) last March 20, 2016 in the following testing centers nationwide: Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Northern Samar; Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Jolo, Sulu; Legazpi, Lucena, Manila, Occidental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Rosales, Pangasinan; Tacloban, Tawi-Tawi, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga testing center.

From May 30 – June 2, 2016 (Elementary) and June 3 – June 10, 2016 (Secondary), registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
- two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
- two sets of documentary stamps.
Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
Coverage of Exam and Passing Percentage:
- Elementary Level
The March 2016 Licensure Examination Teachers (LET) for Elementary Level are consists of two (2) parts: General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%).
- Secondary Level
Three (3) parts for Secondary: General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).
The test covered the major areas of GE (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subjects), PE (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 10 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education.
Examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the subjects to pass the March 2016 LET Board Exam.
Previous LET Exam Results:
Last September 2015, The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) was announced that 21,461 elementary teachers out of 68,442 examinees (31.36%) and 34,010 secondary teachers out of 81,463 examinees (41.75%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last September 27, 2015 in Hong Kong and 26 testing centers all over the Philippines.
PRC also stated that of the 21,461 elementary teacher passers, 20,145 are first timers and 1,316 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 29,443 passers are first timers and 4,567 are repeaters.
The results of examination with respect to seven (7) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.
Paulo Icaranom Bernardino grad of Catanduanes State University – Virac and Pauline Joviene Dizon Quiazon of Angeles University Foundation led the Elementary Level with rated score of 87.20% and April Anne Teodones Candelaria from Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Main – Sta. Mesa and Florenio Tuibeo Tugay II alumni of Catanduanes State University – Panganiban ranked in second placed, with 86.60%.
Pride of University of Mindanao – Davao City, Eula Mae Carlos Busbus got the highest placed in Secondary Level, with garnered score of 90.20%, followed by Iah Bantang Seraspi of Romblon State University (for Romblon S.C) – Odiongan got 90.00% while Harris Bren Telmo Escabarte grad of University of Southern Mindanao – Kabacan with 89.40% ranked in 3rd.
PRC declared University of Santo Tomas (UST) as top performing schools in Elementary(96.24%) and Secondary level(94.92%).
