Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Regulatory Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy released the results of August 3-4, 2013 Physical Therapist (PT) and Occupational Therapist (OT) Board Exam, also known as August 2013 Physical and Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination is posted here.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 355 out of 679 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 64 out of 150 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila and Cebu this August 2013.
The members of the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy who gave the licensure examinations are Dr. Reynaldo R. Rey-Matias, Chairman; Raul G. Agustin, Bernadette M. Reyes, Delia R. Pabalan and Rolland Lyle D. Duque, Members.
The results were released in two (2) working days from the last day of examinations.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on August 19 and 20, 2013. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
Last February 2013 board exam, 285 out of 579 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination. Mary Kathleen Sabile Samarista of University of Santo Tomas (UST) got the highest place with score of 86.95 followed by Barbara Jane Labao Auson of University of Perpetual Help System (UPHS – Laguna) with 86.60 and Hyacinth Rosario Fernandez Callao of Silliman University, 85.65 in third rank. University of Santo Tomas hailed as the top performing schools. And, only 32 out of 64 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination. University of the Philippines ( UP – Manila) declared as the top performing schools. The results were released in two (2) working days.
Same period of 2012, only 469 out of 884 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination. Two alumna of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila leads the results in the name of Irish Bianca Gonzales Barayuga and Camille Louise Abalos Catchillar with average score of 84.55 and followed by Gian Carlo Sacay Delante of Southwestern University, scored 84.25. PRC declared Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng maynila (97.26%) and University of Santo Tomas (88.76%) as the top performing schools. While 49 out of 112 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination and none are qualified as top performing schools.
The said examination held in Manila and Cebu City and expected to released the results within two (2) working days from the last day of examination.
